What are the warranty and technical support terms for the Pulse™ smartpen?

Livescribe warrants the Pulse™ smartpen to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of original direct or retail purchase and is extended to one year after product registration. 

 

Below is the complimentary phone, chat, and email technical support as well as replacement warranty period for items purchased directly from Livescribe or from a third-party vendor:

 

Without registration:

  • Pulse™ smartpen: 90 days
  • Software: 30 days
  • Accessories: 30 days
  • Third party: Supported by third party

With registration:

  • Pulse™ smartpen: 1 year
  • Software: 30 days
  • Accessories: 30 days
  • Third party: Supported by third party or call the toll-free Customer Service hotline at 877-SCRIBE9 or 877-727-4239.

 

NOTE:   The Livescribe Desktop software will prompt you to register your smartpen.

 

Do NOT open your smartpen for any reason. There are no serviceable components and any attempt to open your smartpen will void the warranty. Do not drop the smartpen or allow any other kind of strong impact, which can severely damage your smartpen and prevent it from working properly. Keep all liquids away from your smartpen as it is not water-proof. Do not leave the smartpen in damp locations.

 

For registered customers, Livescribe will repair or replace any defective products during the 1 year warranty period.  For products that are out of warranty, we plan to offer customers other repair or replacement options.

What are the delivery costs?

The delivery costs are calculated based on the weight and destination. To get a price for delivery you will need to go through the ordering process. You can cancel at any time before payment is made.

 

What are the delivery methods?

Most of our deliveries use either FedEX UK or FedEX Express (international). This is a tracked service and requires the order to be placed before 3pm for next day delivery. Orders taken after this time will be collected by FedEX the next day for delivery the day after.

If the FedEX collection is later than 3pm we will endeavour to add any later orders on to that collection. However, this cannot be guaranteed. Smaller items (pen refills) will normally go by royal mail and have a cutoff of 4pm. Should an order contain large items (e.g. Pulse Smartpen) with extra refills then (to save postal charges) all goods will go by FedEX and be subject to the 3PM cutoff.

Purely for guidance only, a 2GB pulse smartpen will cost £7.00 for delivery next day (tracked) using the UK FedEX service for the UK mainland (Scottish highlands may be higher).
